I have Eventide Space and Timefactor. Space is phenomenal and recommended but i found Timefactor a tiny bit underwhelming.

So I'd recommend Eventide Spave + Strymon Timeline plus another multifx type unit.

Timeline is my favorite pedal ATM! Everything goes through it when I do a recording. I just set it up and play the hardware into it . Can make some really cool sounds this way and breathe life into the instrumentation. Like adjusting the feedback on parts or the dry/wet mix.

I'm still looking around for some effects and don't really want the addition of a DI box in the chain if possible...so...can I plug and play a synth into a Timeline without any issues?

Vermona Retroverb Lancet comes to mind. Spring reverb + analogue filter. Haven't used one though, so can't really comment on the sound quality.

Do you have any audio demos or even tracks featuring it anywhere? Would love to hear it in action, there's nothing on youtube. Manufacturer demos never tell the whole tale.

The last 4 tracks in this player here features it quite extensively: http://soundcloud.com/opuswerk/sets/releases/ Those are mainly remixes i did since i got the machine.
As I said in this thread http://www.mnml.nl/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=73618 , the other stuff i've made since the past year i've mainly kept to myself. I'll try and send you some by PM if you still need more samples of the Retroverb. Some other tracks have it more in the foreground.

Otherwise, since getting it, i'm very convinced Skudge has also been using one quite a lot. Some of the typical sounds that come out of it can be found in their tracks.
