Recommended book (Synthesis)

Computer Sound Design: Synthesis techniques and programming by Eduardo Miranda

Synthesis theory, very useful if you want to dig deeper in synthesis.

Most people nowadays take a synth, load some preset and make a song out of it. I'm not saying it's not right, but creating your own patches it's fun, besides originality. There is no need to know everything about FM or granular synthesis, but knowing the basic concepts could help when approaching an specific sound you have in mind.

Any other books/articles worth reading?
