Any soft synth recommendations?

I'm looking for a quality sounding simple to use soft synth.
I bought Massive and though the sounds are nice, I find I haven't the time or patience to sit and work it out. There's too much in there for me.

I like the way Operator works but I find the results too digital. Maybe somebody can suggest ways of getting a better sound out of it.

I don't want to buy any module gear thanks.

have a look at the TAL U-NO 60, a very good emulation of the Juno 60.
it's a very simple synth, no menues, what you see is what you get.
nice chords, stabs and pads.
The TAL Bassline is a good emulation of the SH-101, again a nice a simple synth with a lot of potential, I have a real 101 as well and i can say the emulation is good -expecially considering it's freeware.
TAL makes some plugins as well, some nice delays, filter etc, definitively worth checking out.

Yeah love the Tal plugins. SH101 clone is fantastic. I have nothing to compare it to, but it works for me.

so im the only one who doesnt like the sound of TAL synths?
the only subtractive synth i use is predator.
sound great. more straightforward than massive but not as simple as uno-60 or bassline.

the only softsynths i use are Reason's. i've used predator& albino before and they are good.

they can't do everything but I think they sound pretty true. But they kinda lack this tactile balls that a real version has. Can't put my finger on it... Sounds close, but feels different. Still they are great plugins though and can do amazing things with the simplicity.

Operator is the bomb. My #1 synth and there are ways to make it sound less digital. Take it out of additive mode, use the ladder filters, feedback, LFo and pitch stuff to add unexpected slight modulations. You just have to configure it... It's a deep synth like massive.

I love the sinewaves it can produce they are perfect for me.
