Tryed some vst instruments for a 909, not really happy, does anyone got suggestions ?

Its probably the best you are going to get. What sounds bad about it?

use samples, your never going to get anything in software that sounds as good as a 909.

d16 is nice, can still get a lot out of it, but i usually just use my mbase for kicks and then 909 samples with it, seem to get a closer feel, so may be worth investing in an analog kick for a cheap alternative to buying a 909, if your not happy with results of software mate.

I agree, but I would say that as analogue models go, its one of the more accurate.
Many 909 samples blow in my opinion. Something seemed a lot more 909 about the D16 plugin than many many samples. I could be influenced by the GUI.

If the OP could mention what was wrong with the D16 plug?
