This thread has made me wonder why Korg hasn't done a proper update of the electribe range recently? The SD versions of the ESX/EMX dont really count as I see it.

I really hope something that can sample with perhaps the Radias/R3 synth engine and usb for data transfer is in the works.

The thing I want to know is if the sequencer can be stepped from the 5v outs of Roland drum machines.

If this is possible, people are really not getting how much of a BFD this product is. This is basically Korg making a cut down version of the SH101. Yeah, it's limited, but it's retail price is a third of a 30 year old SH-101.

yes, it's a toy but so is the 303.
maybe youre thinking of the Fischer Price 303 learn and play activity centre,

the TB 303 on the other hand is an awesome and amazing sounding analogue synthesizer, which can still blow away most attempts at mono synthesizers nearly 30 years down the line.

I had a little play on one of these at sonar with a kaoss pad, and it was a great deal of fun.
Don't think I'd ever use it in my tracks though
