MNML producers BEWARE !!!!

Post by AVX23 »

This is ultimately what happens when you lurk round forums asking people how :

<insert>

Made his bass / drums / big swoooshy sounds.

Always remember techno music is steeped in - futurism and innovation which kind of negates just copying everyone else and rinsing out the same old tricks.....

No offense to Marco and the Minimal template crew, but it's time to find yourself a new bag of tricks - and please don't let it be berghain mk4.5

I'm glad I haven't heard it by the sound of things. What's the awfulness in it then and what's the deal about?

dont know this tune, youtubed it.
seems like a functional tune.

but there are thousands of uninspiring releases out there especially this techhouse- vocal/fragment-loop and drum-highfunctional music with no relationship to what i call "interesting electronic dancemusic". dont know why minus is beeing bashed for it again, within all this soulless commercial-housemusic (this is in no way techno) minus seems to be stand out of it and managed to get its own style and definition. (thanks go marc houle)

so yes, there are 99 bad tunes and 1 good one beeing released. whats the point?

I think the problem is that objectively speaking - it's taking bland and un-inspired to new levels.

decide for yourself....

I think the reviewer is just saying what many have felt for a long time.

That's just awful. I couldn't listen to that all the way through, I hate that moronic type of music. To be honest, when the track initially starts, it could have had the potential for something that wouldn't be too bad but then it just gets worse and doesn't do anything that I find interesting ( not even remotely )

I guess it's quite difficult for me to understand where you guys are coming from as I really don't listen to a great deal of Techno or similar. Certainly not a lot of the modern stuff and even though it's something I like making, I prefer to listen to other types of music.

I probably should start to though, at least I would be aware of the pitfalls of sounding like everybody else. :lol:
