Tone, if I came off like a jackass, I apologize, but I just don't think we can have a good discussion about taste in certain style and questions of technique in the same thread.

This thread was specifically about achieving certain textures and I was really liking it and wanting to keep it on topic. Looks like I derailed it as much as anyone.

Either way I am not questioning your knowledge of music or taste, and I am certainly a big fan of all the artists mentioned in this thread, even Dettmann.

back to the relevant topic - hanging out with mick harris for years certainly seems to do wonders for one's production technique :)

This low pass reverb on bass thing is the best thing since sliced bread.
