Short Chicago House snare

You all heard it, the short, cut, groovy snare sound coming in at 00:30 in my example.
Just wondering what drum machine has that snare-ish sound? I always thought Chicago House was all about the 909 but this snare isn't from the 909 as far as i can tell.

if we are thinking of the same snare, to me it sounds like that common dnb snare but with a really short decay... i could probably send it to you if you want

Yeah, it got a pretty jungly/dnb feel over it. Would gladly receive a sample of it :)

try a short 909 closed hat sample tuned down quite a bit majorly compressed and short decay obviously

Not to be nit-picky, but that isn't a Chicago house record.
