in-ear headphones?

Post by Daemonix »

Can they be any good? do they damage the ear more than normal cans?

I want to get some for 60pounds max. Shure? Senn? In some cases I want to use them to play around with production while on the move (i know that the sound is not amazing).

thanks

Haha, just don't do it.

Can't see much advantage to having in ear headphones unless you're worried about your hair :D

i'm using goldring in ears for my ipod. the bass and clarity is amazing if you are used to apple headphones.
would even consider to use them for producing on the go.

would never use them in the studio or for djing because i feel a bit of pain in the ear when i listen to loud music longer than 2 hours with them.

It can be the best thing you can buy if you think a lot of pros are using them as reference or even for mixdown. But quite expensive:

I tried these and wasblown away:

$1000 for earphones? (-)
My god, that's a bit of an overkill for me.

I use Future Sonics Atrios when traveling, so I can save luggage space. I think they sound pretty amazing myself.

They get great reviews, as well.
