Even the sound engine is playing a very big role in the whole sound of the product. If you have a good turntable and good speakers, you can hear it is made in Ableton. Logic, for example, is very neutral in sound but Ableton...you can hear it in two seconds.

I read this one some time ago, that is why I had questions about Live....

This might start a whole ableton sound engine debate and all but i have to agree with you, i think abletons sound engine is weird.
Cubases sound engine on the other hand is just mind blowing. It's clean, precise and very neutral.

it's true. Every program has a certain 'sound'. Fruity and Ableton are easily recognized. To me not a bad thing imho. Villalobos is talking about sound... ofcourse a big part of music, but sometimes the music itself counts the most imho.

so what if you export 1 loop from Live and 1 from Logic and you reverse and phase on the one? what you will hear? (the same loop I mean)

that will clear eachother up but i think it's more the use of fx's and parameters in ableton and logic. Also the workflow and creativity works differently from eachother
