Not sure without seeing Live in front of me, but I would guess either 12 or 24.
2) if you set more than one pole from EQ8 in the same position (exact numbers) it works like a 1,2,3,4 pole filter in that frequency?
It's a simplification, but yeah. Each LPF or HPF pole in EQ8 is 2nd order. If you chain (for example) 4 of them together, you've indeed now got an 8th order (or 8 pole) lowpass - but not all lowpass filters are created equal and you can get different flavours of lowpass by varying each of the poles to taste.
it seems like pushing the freq back (in the graph) when you put more poles there.
That's because a given LPF is generally characterised by where the -3dB point of the whole filter is, rather than where the individual poles are. The poles don't need to be at the same frequency either, although I'm not sure if you could really call it a multi-order lowpass if your poles were more than an octave or so apart.

Use your ears ;)

I use the apple eq and hi/lo pass filters in Live. Don't know if that's because I have logic and live, but these are also available in live and they work pretty good. I don't use the EQ3 and EQ8, not really my cup of tea.
