I want buy in the next months Traktor with the Audio 8 DJ for replacing my Serato setup. I know that you can rip vinyls thru the Audio 8 DJ but did you have better results than with a dedicated USB phono preamp like the ART one or with the expensive Bellary preamps ?
A recent post about phono preamps

Digitalizing your vinyl collection
i rip all my vinyls at first play, at 24bit 44 or 48khz through a dedicated phono preamp.
i use Logic Pro 8 and Motu 828 MKII, peaks use to reach -10 to -8dBFS, then i manually clean clicks, pops and crackles, apply Hipass filter around 25-35 Hz and adjust stereo image (you know, left channel use to sound louder if needle is not well adjusted).
Hope it helps!

hi anizz!
a record must be played several times before advice quality degrade, i found easier rip them at first play cause new records use to don't need deep cleaning, just stylus slight brushing and that's all.
if you play dusty vinyl records these dust particles will be "soldered" to grooves due to high temperature when needle pass and next play you'll hear CLICKS and CRACKLES, remember to clean records before play or ripping.
it's pleasant for me to know i have listened a song 200 times through computer but it'll sound almost the same when played on turntable
Always IMO
