New monitors: Which one do I choose?

i've got the krk v8 mk2 active and they are the sh!t, i auditioned bout 6 pairs in the shop including some £1200 mackies and these shat it. Bass is so deep its scary.

i like my alesis mk2 actives. i took advice from the forum.

Since a few weeks i have been using the krk 8 and i have to say im very impressed. Definately worth considering

Where are you guys shopping for these things? Who's got the best prices?

that's good new about the rokit 8's. I can get them in london for 374 pound. I've been monitoring for years with hi-fi speakers. dying to hear the sound of them.

i bought mine here in belgium cause i wanted to hear them and compair them with others and i bought them for 299 euro each.

i checked several websites and it wasnt worth considering the price buying them online.

i saw that in the usa they are cheaper then in europe

Tell me about it, I recently moved from Australia to San Francisco, and let me tell you the prices out here are amazingly cheap.

Tannoy Reveal 6d were about $1500 in Australia and they are less than half that here.

I seriously have to get monitors, I've been producing for 8 years now without them. At times I wonder how...

xexe, agreed with that. frequency response is really bad on all models.

behringer also sucks!!

if you dont have a lot of money and you want something good, choose Alesis M1 Active MK II, really great sound and not expensive thought
