New to producing.. Can you give me some advice on my track?

Post by On-Delay »

I've made a few pretty crappy productions while I was getting used to software, sound design, filters, automations , etc...

But I am taking my time on this one, this is just the sarting out point. And before I keep going (even though I'm kinda stuck on how to progress the track) , I'd like any feedback or advice on what I have so far. It'd be a great help to this new producer, trying to learn, and one day make some great hits. :D

I like it so far, Its some interesting ideas, not sure about the buzzing bee sound might be better as a one-shot now and again, instead of constant?

a lot of the sounds sound like they are eq'd at quite high frequencies, may be better bringing them down (low pass them a bit and roll off a bit lower?)

Maybe sidechain the kick to the bass, and make the kick deeper?

More of a swing as well maybe?

This is totally my opinion and taste of course, you have your own ideas of what you like :D

Oooookay,I do appreciate the feedback. I think I could this song into something playable by people who actually think I've been doing this for a long time.

I agree with Daveache, in that the kick could pack more punch.
