'Ableton Live?!?

Stupid question but...

i always hear about ableton live... but i never knew what it was for exactly..
Is it a sampling tool or what does it allow you to do?

these days it's almost a complete daw/sequencer...

In a nutshell, it's an interface that allows for very tactile and intuitive playback of samples... it is designed so that you can easily trigger and access samples and loops in a live performance environment.

Alot of people are using it for more these days, especially since they keep adding more features to it (sequencing, recording and beyond). But at it's core, it is what I mention above and does that the best.

I use it for writing and producing my tracks currently and wow is all I have to say. The best sequencing type program I have ever used.

my advice is to immdediatly go buy the program and dive in head first, come back to the board for any questions that you have and i'm sure you will be absolutely amazed with what this program can do!
