UC-33 loses connection to live

Post by db2 »

Anybody experience this? I'm quite sure I've heard about it before.

Does powering the machine off an external power supply rather than usb fix this problem?

probably something wrong with the usb-cable/connector on either the uc33 or the computer.

Thanks, I'll check about swapping the cables up.

I have the older model, before the UC-33e.

I remember some friends complaining about losing their connection during gigs and having to reset. I'm still waiting for some of them to pop online. I'll report back if I get more info.

Pretty annoying. If I unplug the box, plug it back in, and start stop live it pops back in about 50% of the time.

Also, has anyone ever seen live drop an audio channel? It shows the clip playing, the routing is right, the channel volume is up, and the CPU is far from maxed, but loss of audio. Start stop and it jumps back in. Weird and annoying!

you might want to replace the cable for starters.

other than that, have you tried it with an external power connection?

Do other devices work okay when plugged into the same usb port?

Maybe i can help.

One problem that might cause a disconect is XP.
Under device's there is a option(usb hub) to shut down the uc33. Just to save i tiny bit of power.

Unchecking this option helped me out.

Hello, I had this probleme, my uc-33 sometimes loose the connection with my computer, It's problably due to the driver midi of your uc-33 witch is too hold,
on the m-audio site you can dowload the driver updated.

anybody had any other kind of problem with this uc 33 e?
i read one realy bad review once about some overheathing and the knobs were crapy...but still so popular.

i want to get the bitstream but what is holding me is that i hear great things about it but the 33 e seams to be the favorite for live PA. why? maybe couse it is lighter?
