Re: for produce
At least it isn't for me... And whole Reason idea drags me into looping - you know - Redrum patterns, Matrix - and what's the worst I can't resist it... Plus, that mixer sux bigtime...plaster wrote: ur saying that reason is not good for making arrangement?
im a cubase person, but i recomand ableton live to anyone starting to make music.
cubase is very complex and i use it since it was the only sequencer for pc back in the days when i started.
ableton gives the minimalistic sound u can hear in magda rsr etc etc
it is very friendly and easy to use, and the envalopes make the whole track no sweat.
i have difficulties to take frutty loops and reason seriouslly, the sound and the whole work is very unsetisfying

it's all how you percieve it...yea,i know what you think.
Drop the idea of becoming someone else, because you are already a masterpiece.

Not to open this can of worms again, but I disagree. I do agree that for more conventional "music" though, it is better coupled with Cubase.
But to answer your question, there is no better place to start than Reason. It's a great platform to learn all sorts of aspects of production. It's been my mainstay for years and I have used it for alot of different sorts of work.
