Post by bleupulp »

About Hemiptera
He·mip·ter·a

[hi-mip-ter-uh]

CA/US hybrid Hemiptera specializes in future-bending minimalism through Abelton Live-based performance.
The duo has been influenced by outré techno innovators such as
Miskate and Someone Else, Bleupulp, Fumiya Tanaka, Joel Mull, Pheek, Butane and Morgan Packard.

They have also contributed to spreading new dancefloor sounds through events
in Chapel Hill, NC, San Francisco, CA (Filter.SF), Ithaca, NY (together with Dj Laika/DeepBeatZ).

Hemiptera regularly contributes to Canada’s Pertin.Nce netlabel, including a full-length:
“Home on the Strange”, the curation of the "Thanks for Tomorrow" charity compilation,
plus a forthcoming EP with Bleupulp for Spring 2009.

The duo made their production debut on Canadian netlabel Pertin_nce's "Trial" compilation in March 2008
with its first full length "Home on the Strange" released in late 2008. Quebec City's Pertin-nce,
run by acclaimed producer Maxime Tanguay [aka Bleupulp], is known for showcasing unexplored terrain in dance music.

A double release of two live sets: the ambient downbeat Orange Saline
and the more
peaktime Night Bleeds Day are available at:

i must add that these two are very good friend of mine,
very down to earth people, easy going, humble, nice and kind, they are the perfect example of what artists should be toward other people.
in other words´; they know how to act
and i love it
plus they make good techno minimal music.
