Bio:
John Spring is Johannes Mai, born 1979 in rostock at the north-east coast of germany. His musical background started with playing piano at the age of 5, he finished that with a graduation at the music-conservatory in rostock at the age of 15. In the years 1994 and 1995 his interest for electronic music began to grow and by the year 1996, after a lot of funny clubnights, he bought his first techno-records. One year later he started DJing in clubs in rostock and other city’s in the north-east of germany. Since 1998 he’s making his own music which is a mixture of house and techno. Main influences for him were the early Daft-Punk records, Aphex Twin, but also detroit and german music like underground resistance, christian morgenstern (RIP) and all that minimal cologne-stuff.
