Einzelkind

Einzelkind aka Arno Völker and Miguel Ayala were born and raised in Cuba more specifically in the eastern region, where they grew up in family of 17 people. Voodoo was vital part of their upbringing and still holds a strong influence in their life, a fact that showcases strongly in their production. They often record their shaman rituals and use them as samples in their tracks giving them a heavy spiritual feel. When they came to germany one of the first words they learned was "Einzelkind" being an total alien to the concept of growing up alone, they took it as their project name and tried to adapt to their new surroundings. It was hard at first, but with a little help of their new made friends at the Get Physical camp they made it and without loosing any of their afrocaribean identity; they produced "Marsha". From that it was no turning back, their first release on the new Get Physical sublabel Kindisch had everybody and their momma's attention. There was no stopping now, working with Chelonis was their next challenge. Plus the next Kindisch was due, "Pay 2 Play" was the name of the next Einzelkind House banger. But they wanted more, a release on raum_musik under their Chupacabra alias awoke their appetite for techno. On their first collaboration with Dj Meat they delved further. Hard hitting Chicago influenced Drums paved the way for the new Einzelkind, the mean one. Get Physical just had to have it and so the release of the "Meat is Murder Ep" was decided. This brought others to their attention, the result? A release on their hometown label Playhouse titled "Lumumba Ep", shortly answerded by "La Fiebre del Loco Ep" on Kindisch, which might be their most pagan release at this date; demonic tribal rituals all over the place. On the other hand Get Physical released their second Ep with Meat "Words from the Frontlines" a powerfull attack on the minds of millions. Working on their next Kindisch with Douglas Greed was their next challenge it combined the dark Greed soundscapes with the irresistible grooves of these guys. But 2008 held a very special prejoect to be born; La Peña was an idea they were having for a while now, in itself a simple idea. They wanted to release their favorite House Tracks on a platform where only music mattered, no artists, no titles, just good music. And being in Frankfurt where currently House is exploding certainly gives them a good surrounding for this idea. Good tracks appear right and left from them and last not but not least their own productions come into place. So expect a lot on La Peña... Apart from that they just finished the work for their next Kindisch release entitled "Out with a Bang ep", which should be out in autumn and did a lot of remixes. Expect everything when they play, just prepare.....when they come with no underwear.
