probably one of the rare djs that can get away with playing anything, bcos of his personality and obvious love of life and music...pure magic wen u see him live, gotta agree tho the mixes on the net dont do him justice, its funny that he says the internet is evil ;) ;)
Beethovan acknowledged the visionary qualities of his music, saying those who understand it are freed from the miseries which others drag around with them....

I don't know if this would be the right place to ask, but I was wondering if anybody here knew a couple of recommendations for music that sounds like Ricardo's productions circa early 2000s (like his material from Alcachofa and Salvador). Don't really know my way around that having been bred on standard "boom boom boom" techno, but really want more of it!!!!

Thanks x

A music genius a real artist, his productions are very technical and complex but for the basic listener they sound simple, he has the secret of the minimalistic beats, and this typical organic sound.... awesome.

AS DJ he is magical, its make you always a surprise, you can't know waht he play in the next set... but alwasy with this ricardo touch and sound, he has the ability to really read the public, to play with and to make the good skill at the good moment.

It's a reference, he has created the Villalobos sound....
How many DJs want to imitate him, with the style and sound ?

I think that this m***** f****r know when he is recorded and don't play secret weapons...

It's hard to find new sets from Ricardo, i think he doesn't give permission to record them when he's playing.
Normally when he plays in Amsterdam, Volt or Awakenings they were always online, but sadly i can't find them anymore.
