KRIKOR

Post by adam »

I know little about this man.. I caught his live performance at Mutek last year and I was blown away.

His opening alone was enough to make be glad I was there - voice recordings and phrrases looping and building on theirselves and morphing in to a transparent rythm... it was amazing and he definately has my respect.

Can someone tell us more about Krikor, releases, etc?

He was definitely one of the highlights of Mutek 04, without a doubt.

My favorite release:

Karat 09 - Pas De Nom

"Peeping Tom"

Moves me, and never fails to move the dance floor.

Love it.

yes, peeping tom is a very nice release.

Also a great track is "1968" remix Ark. It's on the Fabric 17 cd mixed by Akufen.

He is a French producer and his music can be sometimes freaky, sometimes funky but always original...

that 's his homepage, there you can find a few mp3 links.

Yep thats the one.

"Ohhhhh, I think I need a snare drum now" That stuff is dangerously wicked.

Both tracks from his 'Electrique Grind' 12" are good, sleazy, dancefloor numbers...

Highly underrated and mentioned, and definitely one of my fave producers...

I hope more people start playing / buying his music!

Krokor is great. I am a big fan of how he turns all this noise into pure electrifying FUNK. his sound is very unique aswell and the results have always been very enjoyable.
