unbelievable....
after serchin' on previous posts,
with my big surprise, i noticed that The Great Jeff Mills was never mentioned in this forum.
we're talkin' about minimal techno here, right?

Jeff is God.

jeff mills is minimal techno indeed
but i'm afraid a lot of minimal kids won't get that...

was playing the 'Live at The Liquid Rooms - Tokyo' CD just yesterday morning - first time in ages and it sounded great

ended up digging out all my Axis records and giving them a sunday spin :P

Techno is minimal, but i guess a lot of mnml kids won't get that either...

Best dj in the world, IMO, watch him mix, sell your turntables.

techno is a process of abstraction and not a process of decoration.
being minimal was just so natural for a master like Jeff who totally understood this notion above very very early.
if the "kids" can't understand if Jeff is minimal...so on..
it's becuase techno is now developping totally in different manner than before. there's no true reserch on this abstraction, but only those ridiculous decorations everywhere...

I AM VERY VERY SORRY FOR LOTS OF PEOPLE HERE BUT,
i'm sure that 10, even 5, even 3 years later,
it won't be M-NUS everywhere when we'll talk about the history of minimal techno.

i have nothing against m-nus, or richie hawtin. I love them.
but it doesn't make any sense the way they're using this "minimal" for their image making stuff.

i'm desperately sure that there's true players in this world, let's wait for them.
