Andreas Tilliander

Post by Renze »

Hey, I just turned on the radio (Kink FM) and to my surprise they played a minimal house track :D
So I checked their playlist, turned out to be Andreas Tilliander - Love Me Like I Do

I love his style! It reminded me much of the good old Force Tracks label. I did some googling and found out he released stuff on Mille Plateaux, and now on Pluxemburg. This is the way I like minimal: glitchy, funky, clicky and not too abstract :)

andreas tilliander is one of the best exponents of clicks cuts,
with other artists they initiated in mille plateaux records the music denominated "clicks & cuts".
a reinventación of the clasical electronic music, with a totally innovating concept at the time of producing.
far from the clasicism, the architecture of the music apparently does not have a logic progession or normal composition.
the clicks, bleeps, cracks, gltichs and other noises floods the structure with absolute disorder..........or no.

I like specially the first two records of andreas, Ljud and Elit.
they are the best example of clicks & cuts,
i suggest also the records of mokira, the finest ambient electronica,
and lowfour, musical project inspired in dub (one of the most influences of andreas).

tnx zzz for the info

unfortunately with the death of force inc / force tracks / mille plateaux some of this stuff will be hard to get :(

I also read in an interview with Tilliander that mille plateaux was approached by lil'kim for some production work on an album.

i talk with some friends and mille plateaux is back soon,
www.milleplateauxmedia.com and www.force-inc-music-works.com (not working still)
there are some new records in shops(only in cd)
bizz circuits - play intifada offspring vol.1:nishbar li ha'zayinY (milleplateauxmedia 01)
thomas koner - nuuk (mille plateaux media 03)
v.a. clicks & cuts 4 (mille plateaux media 04)

I have many references of mille plateaux, although I have been many years trying to get "plee" in vinyl.
who is lil'kim?

I read on discogs Force is coming back, but I wasn't sure. If it's true, it's great news for all minimal lovers :)

Lil'Kim is a female rapper from NYC, she worked with the likes of Notorious B.I.G. and P. Diddy. Not someone you'd expect to be interested in working with Mille Plateaux, that's why I was surprised.

plee is a nice release, altho too minimal for me...but the feeling and textures are nice.
Drop the idea of becoming someone else, because you are already a masterpiece.

andreas work also with fu dogg in one track of "elit" (duplicity),
fu dogg is another rapper

do you listen the new album "world industries"?
i don´t like much, is other sound, more danceable.
the latest work of lowfour "muscle and hate" is in the same direction.
