The last couple of years, the lineup for Sonar it self hasn't been that interesting, but I guess it surely isn't the reason why people are going?
I find the professional part of Sonar quite good, and the parties around in town very cool, and, oh well, Barcelona is also my fave EU town...
Sad with the beach parties last year, any good news on that part?

ah sh!t i miss the rings of saturn thing... small print... that should be worth it as well but you're totally right... weak lineupgrave wrote:the kalabrese thing looks alot less interesting than shackleton, flying lotus, mad mike + jeff mills doing rings of saturn, roisin murphy...other than that, piss-weak lineup.
primavera has robert hood, model 500 and thomas brinkmann, and its mainly an indie festival for fucks sake!

totally agree on that. ive never been amazed by the lineups at the festival itself, but the lineups at the parties all around the town, you got some great music to chose from, thats for sure.patrick bateman wrote:The last couple of years, the lineup for Sonar it self hasn't been that interesting, but I guess it surely isn't the reason why people are going?

and its too bad if they dont manage to figure something out regarding the beachparties, imo the beachparties alone is reason enough for going to barcelona during sonar - which in my eyes would also be the best time to visit the town
