WHICH VINYL CLEANING SPRAY

Hi I have a couple of "splats" on a record from playing out and I need some sort of cleaning spray to loosen it up and to then be able to wipe it off with a record cleaning cloth. Which brand is the best and safest one to buy? also what's the best technique for using cleaning spray to get minor splats off of a record?
