Minimal minimal?

Post by Fnsta »

hey all.

Am asking for "minimal minmal, like, music that really does not ave often or, better, very subtle changings but due to that
have a lot of more effect in terms of speed and attention one would pay to it. like a flirt that goes tindr and a flirt that consists
of jst having a glance through the room. and am not thinking abaht robert hood here, he hasa too much offa bass for me.
am a nervous wreck and this kind of music really fits my needs. I got into this kind of stuff mainly through an set by
kaitaro https://soundcloud.com/kaitaro,
who, unfortunately, remained my only source. heard him in berlin, once, and dancing was like running through a stars
sprengeled computer game. yessa. before it goes to narrative, i havent have much of similiar stuff after that just before
one day ago when i walked in a parisian boutique. my hope now is that this would might be an indicator for that style
to come up again, so that i dont have to try to dance to acid affine house or that parish fair music anymore. i would
love to hear your suggestions. also, if i am right that this style might comes up at the moment (-me listened to dubstep
a few years, then to nothing, then to witch house, then to nothing again pretty much), you are gladly invited to get in a fight
about wether this comeup is a good sign for general culture or not. i dont think that it is lounge or bar music, btw, i think
it is just very decent and fragile - that might turn into bar music again, but this is more of a topic on fashion in general.
i prefer the fragile stuff, and you might know some classic or even new setsand mixes.

regards,

fnsta.

Hey,

Gave rhadoo a listen and hesa too eavy for me ort at least for what i am searching atm.
wif kaitaro i like how subtle he uses his elements, like you notice them coming in maybe
1 minute after, if at all. Also, he has very smooth bassdrums/lines often, very reduced. Also
them "melodies", them sounds really stand for themselve without fronting too much. Its
very harmonic and discreet. Like good, better dubstep, it gets its power through its reserve.

witchouse ;) -> http://vimeo.com/22266522

liked how they played with pop culture here, the aesthetic more then the sound. salem
was witch house, you might know them.

Maybe you will enjoy Tulbure? (another Romanian). I'm really not into what he's playing/releasing these days but some of his older sets are good.

That first Tulbure set is quite decent, maybe not frosty enough. Pls apologise
if me seems to be quite picky, but i am quite surprised that there are not more
suggestions since i think that the stuff i search for is a wide projection for artists
in general that comes to its point in already the term "minimal. take horror show by
loefah as one of the first tracks that were adressed as dubstep. People mostly try to reduce sh!t when it gets too clowny.
And this is what pretty much happens with any style, with any
projection after a while. It got its energetic start and then is overburdened.
You wanta minimalise. Then take the superartificialness of techno itself
and the overcooled atmosphere that most of our time and with it fashion
provides - i was sure that this is nearly an old hat within minimal music,
pretty much the projection itself, like where it has its call as a bit of a snobby reputation from - not talking
bt jst ibiza rich kids. Think abt Gesaffelstein, stylewise.
