Pre 2006 minimalists 2 cool for the nu school?

Post by Hutch »

So, this isn't self promotion but I raise the question why everyone has skipped over the new sh!t coming out and the plethera of good artists. Im not talking about the bleepy sh!t. Im talking about sh!t like this https://soundcloud.com/all-things-minim ... 29_3h57m30 Not trying to self promote just think its a good example. You will hear mnml deep house, techno, tech house, dub tech. If you look at the beatport top 100 minimal you will see the bleep is fazing out to an extent and the NU (lol joke of what I call the new minimal sound) stuff is creeping. Im so tired of all these current huge artists that abandoned what made them famous to only play disco house and bad house. In Denver only 3 people have caught on. I think this stuff will explode this year tho )"

The problem is this kind of stuff has been done to death in Europe.

The American EDM scene in most US cities is weird.

It's not like this subgenus tv spot + dance beats. It's not.

One thing I noticed about Beatport which is based out of some weird place like Denver is every time you go there the #1 track is by an electro house artist you never heard of and there is this big noise wash build up. All the loud synths just sound like a software plug-in.
If I went to Beatport five years ago it would be the same type of music.

Your like is this site a scam? Who actually A) buys this stuff B) plays it out (maybe the commercial Las Vegas club music scene?) C) Listens to noise wash build up dance music with loud software electro house synths?

Seriously.

"We Like To Party (Original Mix)
Showtek
Skink"

To be fair to the younger generation. This track off of beat port charts is similar to 1991 techno like 80 Aum. But you just fill underwhelmed like it's kind of like Dominator but not really. Kids shuffling to LMFAO and Las Vegas clubs. hehe....Behrgain techno is also kind of bad so I should bash it. I blame dance music becoming popular and appealing to the normals. It used to be an alternative lifestyle thing. Now it's make it stop, bad EDM, -urk 4/4 beat torture music.
