at quick glance...that odyssey one you posted, john, like most odyssey stuff...the wheels look mega cheap. plastic wheels, probably somewhat akin to an enlarged version that would be on a kids toy (metal rod attached to two wheels - no bearings). i could be wrong, though, but those wheels look like they'll sh!t out really fast.

in retrospect, that's the worst part of my magma bag - it has plastic wheels as well. all of the new ones have rollerblade wheels that you can replace if they get fucked up, so that's much nicer.

honestly, i don't mean to sound like a dck here, but...you get what you pay for. if you want to buy a 100$ record bag, you're going to probably replace it within a year, if not earlier, depending on usage. there's a reason that udg's, magma's, and rimowa's cost what they do - durability and reliability.

I understand but i'm in no position to spend £200+ on a record trolley, and all those expensive ones you guys have been posting are hard cases, they must weigh a tonne! You say there's a reason Magma's cost what they do but i am really put off after how quickly my one fell apart.

it really comes down to what you need it for, to be honest. i'm not trying to dog your purchase, but i need to travel four to six times a month right now, and i can't have some jack-boot knockoff falling apart on me when i'm 1000 miles from home.

I'm looking for a small bag. Something like this: http://www.recordcase.de/en/recordbag-deluxe_e,i8.htm . Any shops in Berlin? Tried at Rotation and Oye.

Rubbish, literally sent it back today!

The wheels were made up of rubber casing over plastic wheels. I took it out to three gigs in 2 weeks and after that the casing had broken and i couldn't wheel it around without cutting the rubber off! The zip toggle bits you pull to do the zip up were made really cheaply too, two of them broke in the 1 month i had it. Can't believe how bad it was really haha.

I got UDG Slingbag Trolley Deluxe in the post today. They have black ones on sale on the UDG website, so i got it for just over £100. Hopefully i'll have a bit more luck with this one, my vinyl trolley track record isn't looking good at the moment
