Can You Feel It

Post by breton »

Guys, can anybody tell me, what's the deal with the reissue of Washing Machine/Can You Feel It on Alleviated? Why are the tracks much slower than the originals?

I grabbed that just now. Didn't realize they were slower than the originals, as i've never hear them at the proper speed.
I am however quite happy to see it being re-released, I just hope the pressing is a good one.

Maybe whoever recorded the samples had the pitch way down by accident and didn't notice?

That's what i thought at first, but then i saw this comment on Discogs...
ScottFitzgerald wrote: Regarding this Digital Remastered copy, SADLY the speed on all tracks are pressed at a very slow speed, I dont know why this is but compared to the speed of the orginal: this makes all three tracks practically too slow to play EVEN pitched all the way up on my technics 1210mk5, I dont know the exact tempo but pitched up fully they barely knock in at 120bpm, unfortunetly, I say they dont even make 120bpm pitched up fullly on my turntables, just want to let people know, the remastering brings up quiter elements but three tracks way too slow : (

You should be able to nab a copy on Trax and compare. My copy was on the Trax label.
