Visiting portugal

I'm backpacking around Europe next year and am starting my journey in portugal in march/April.

What's the techno scene like there? I know the monocline label is out of Lisbon. Are there a lot of underground parties or is it more club based there? Also what cities are good for partying?

look for Cleymoore, Pluie/Noir and Exquisite (not sure of the spelling of the last one) - these guys are pure quality (and Lisboa-based)

yeah the scene is mostly club based here, not much underground warehouse parties and such. there are good clubs both in lisbon and porto but techno is in the bill only occasionally, house and especially tech-house is what you usually get in most clubs.

and if deeper techno is your thing, i run a monthly techno night called Suction at Europa club in Lisbon...welcome .

Thanks for the replies, is the best way to find out about events via Resident Advisor or is there another site which is better for portugal?
