Re: Need Advice - Fruity Loops & Sample Packs
step 1. use what you have...
learn to manipulate the sounds that you have.
learn to layer them, adjust the levels very delicately ...
pan then, stack them, eq them into completely different sounds..
don't take yourself too serious. have fun...
it's a life long journey. spend time learning the program, and watching tutorials on new ways..
to approach using the software and sounds you already have.
best wishes..

What kind of sound are you going for? Most sample packs are over processed which is ok for electro house and trance, but not so good for anything underground.spage wrote:Thank you for your reply, but come on? I've just bought the programme don't you think I should crawl before I can walk? It sounds like you expect me to be running already my friend. If you could advise a decent sample pack with some nice sounds that I get get stuck straight into it'd be most appreciated. That way I can concentrate on learing to sequence and arrange and actually get something working that I'd enjoy listening to while working at trying to learn the packages many features.
I think loopmasters do packs by well know producers. Just pick an artist you like and away you go.

I would like to make simple dubby techno / tech house like this with these types of sounds and space:
