I heard his set at sonar and it was embarassing. Very dull and boring tech house music all over the place. Fucking with the tempo of the track and applying fx every 3 minutes. Sorry I dont buy this digital thing when you need to affect so much the music and play many tracks at the same time, this just means you need to select better music in the first place.

This is the same like the Luciano thread. They dont care anymore about the music. They completely forgot what put them in the stardom.

what's really annoying me is that to some extent those guys now commercialize the whole scene.. the most ridiculous thing tho is that hawtin even presents himself as the most "forward thinking dj who is constantly pushing the boarders" tho he is just playing loops of really poor tech-house tracks with lots of effects..

I saw he posted that he was sorry for playing such a shitty set at Electric Forrest in MI. I've never heard him belittle a set he played ever.

But let's be honest. He plays 95% tech house these days.
