Discogs sellers that should be avoided (too high pricing)

I've only had good experiences from the sellers I have bought records from on discogs. Well, there was one where I would say he slightly overgraded the condition - but the price was fair enough not to be too disappointed.

You can tell who the good sellers are before you have even dealt with them. Tips:

1. Feedback from other buyers - comments about communication will be a good indicator.
2. Price vs competition - how do their prices compare with other sellers? realistic?
3. Condition vs price vs competition.
4. Shipping info - is it detailed and sound like they care about making sure you receive it okay?
5. Stock - are they a specialist in your genre and know their tracks? (can be good or bad)
6. Dates of buyer feedback - can indicate how much they are selling.

I guess my point is, you can tell who is a timewaster and who is a pro. If you have your doubts based on the above tips, that pretty much decides it; don't buy.

Of all the above-named sellers, I have only bought from qqerwin. One for the serious collectors. He is pricey but he has real rarities in the best imaginable condition - old vinyl like it was pressed this month. M means M. And the communication is very attentive. If you don't mind it VG/VG+ there are plenty of other sellers and you'll save a few quid; maybe better if you're gonna be shoving it in your record bag every week.

Must say, I enjoy digging on discogs (w/youtube) more than the old days of shop-digging.

The guy charges some random extra fees and it seems like nobody has called him out on that 'cause he has an almost perfect feedback.
He tried to charge me some "packaging fee", even though i ordered a rather expensive record and he mentions in his preferences that it is only applicable on orders below 6 euros.
When i mentioned it to him, he agreed to remove it from the total, but still wanted to charge me his Discogs selling fee, even though it's against Discogs rules ("The selling fee charged to you by Discogs cannot be added as a surcharge to your buyers order total").

Sellers will usually declare any charges (paypal/packaging) on their sales page, problem is most buyers don't read them properly.

Packaging can be expensive. You can pick up 50 mailers for £15 on ebay, £23 with stiffeners. When you add in 5% paypal fees & 7% for Discogs there isn't much profit left for the seller & you would be lucky to break even on many releases.

I'm currently selling off my collection with no hidden fees & rock bottom prices by Discogs standards.
