haha how and why are you jumping to that conclusion?
a lot of deep house is slower than 120bpm. mid 120bpms seems a bit much for the start of a house night.

true..at our monthly spot which is on a tuesday (so not the craziest turnout unless we book internationals) we usually start around 116-118. so many good records are under 120..you'd miss out on a lot of stuff if you only bought >120

I usually don't buy music much above the 130bpm mark. Gets too fast and energetic for me. I have no limit on the slow side though, I have lots of music between 60 and 110bpm.

Quite like slow paced sets to be honest perhaps that my age kicking in!

The regular gig that I have is kinda loungey so I make sure I dont stray over 125.

I think its force of habit but I prefer generally to pitch down rather pitch up. At the start of the set I try and start at 120ish and then get faster as the night goes on. That said there arent rules but I tend to find this happens.

same here.
never really check the tempo only the quality of the song.

I agree with b-ran also, there's so many quality records under 120... a lot.

i think everyone agrees that there are good tracks at any tempo.

but my time and money is limited, so there has to be a selection.
And altough i own such tracks, i often just spend my money on tracks that i play more than one time a year :)

also my definition of warmup doesnt necessarily mean it hast to be really slow, for me it depends more on what kind of tracks you play.
