I hope this will be about rap/turntablism, this could be interesting at least. I dont see the point of judging a house dj mixing two tracks in 10 minutes with traktor!!

But if it's like a DMC on television, could be interesting.

From the article "DJs are the new rock stars, it feels like the right time to make this show".

So they are after the new David Guetta, Deadmau, Tiesto, etc.? Because these are for me the dj that get the rock star treatment. These people didnt get to the top because they were good at djing do they? Good marketing, a big hit, a trendy sound that fitted in that moment, whatever.

And who do you judge how good is a dj? In my opinion it takes many listening sessions to extended sets to really get the idea if the dj knows how to build a set. And this is not possible for a tv show. Broadcasting a let say 4 hour set? I dont see that happening.

I think this is just trying to get money now that electronic music is getting more and more popular. Mayans where right, the world is ending this year -squint

+1

No point watching people push buttons for 10 min.
