very cool! Definitely brings the idea of ableton live inside of Traktor. I don't think its a game changer or anything. You can do this type of stuff with an MPC and two turntables... basically since 1988 you could do this. Just a helluva lot less complicated and more convenient.

you just dont get it. thats technological progress, the possibilities are endless, these gadgets get you into a position were you can shape sound after your own imagination. DJ Gadget is an insult, these are like instruments for artists. They extend the body and help the artist to get his artwork out there.

oh wait..

i got into dj'ing because it was easy and required no creativity...

this annoyingly makes everything complicated and difficult.

time for a new hobby

:D that sums it up pretty good really. Everytime the comments go "it'll create endless new possibilities!". Yet, everyone I've seen so far using those things just let two tracks fade in and out like you would do with turntables, except that you don't have to pitch, don't have to worry about timing and can use the extra time to explore endless variations of prancing with your hands above your head, while showing of your man-cleavage shirt and your hipster beard-and-sunglasses look.

God I'm so done with this hipster-scene thing... but I guess that's normal when you are reaching the 4 point 0 age :)
