this has always happened. grime & dubstep was a backlash against UK garage selling out. rave started because the kids wanted something hard and more aggressive than acid house. punk was a backlash against prog rock, you could say the same thing about reggae, funk, john cage and practically every music genre in existence. they all came about because people were not satisfied with what was going on in music at the time.New Guy wrote:In the second decade of the 21st century the so called "underground" (for lack of a better word) electronic music will gain popularity in the mainstream circles.
