Eliminating turntable feedback (club environment)

Thanks to Eric Cloutier and his ash tray / rubber band suggestion I came up with this slight variation. It's rolls of masking tape wrapped with rubber bands for each foot of the 1210. They're pretty solid and next to nothing to make. Here's hoping they have the desired effect!

you might have too many rubber bands on there - it might just be another stiff foot for the tables to rest on. you want it to be a bit springy-er. i'll take photos of what we use at bunker in the front room this friday and show you what we have. its similar to yours - we use old rolls of duct tape with large rubber bands on it - but it floats a bit more and acts like a suspension.

if you're actually serious about your venue, don't go for all these kitchen solutions

What you need is Maglev. It's basically two plates being positioned by magnets (so no direct contact at all) and so there's no feedback or nothing. They also come in big variations where you can place an entire setup on those things, making the entire booth absolutely stable and feedback-proof. We use it everywhere, even on wooden stages etc where normally you'd be bouncing around the place from the bass in the floor.

Works perfect, the only thing you can't do is place a laptop directly on them since that can be a little dicey for your harddisk

Ah yes I see what you mean. Although mine are still 'quite' springy I probably could be doing with removing some of the rubber bands to soften it up. I look forward to seeing what you guys use at The Bunker - I like the idea of using a more solid duct tape also. Thanks for your time.
