Brighton techno scene

Post by Maiyal »

I have just moved to Brighton in the south of England and was wondering how the scene is here. Obviously I am talking past the Fatboy Slim etc. stuff. Anyone got any clubs/nights to recommend? Thanks!

Yeah, only problem is I don't really have the money to go to London (at least not that often)

Just checked Audio's website and found out that Claude Vonstroke is playing on the 4th of November. Will probably have to go down for that one, never seen him play.

Was unable to go on the 4th, but as an update I've discovered a few things going on. Minimal Kids goes on once a month and they've recently started doing Motel afterhours @ the tube every saturday morning, will definitely want to go check that out.

I used to live in Brighton, which was about 5 years ago. It was certainly a great place for techno. I have to say that Audio Brighton was the best place with their cool Stompa Phunk parties. There were some other cool places like Ocean Rooms and ZAP, but I think they closed or changed their concepts.

I've always wanted to go back and play at a gig in Brighton, as I have some really good memories of the place. In my opinion it is one of the best towns in the UK 8)
