yes, fantastic really. Duncan Jones is David Bowie's son, so that might explain a lot. just finished watching his second full-length titled Source Code with Jake Gyllenhaal and it is pretty awesome as well.

Here a list of interesting/worth-the-watch movies from last several years.

Comedy
Cedar Rapids (2011 - Miguel Arteta)
Cyrus (2010 - Duplass Bros)
Date Night (2010 - Shawn Levy)
Extract (2009 - Mike Judge)
Go Get Some Rosemary (2009 - Safdie Bros)
Hobo With a Shotgun (2011 - Jason Eisner)
Middle Men (2009 - George Gallo)

Drama
13 Assassins (2010 - Takashi Miike)
Barney's Version (2010 - Richard Lewis)
Into the Wild (2007 - Sean Penn)
Limits of Control (2009 - Jim Jarmusch)
Somewhere (2010 - Sofia Coppola)
Sherlock Holmes (2009 - Guy Ritchie) meh, but worth watch
The King's Speech (2010 - Tom Hooper)
The Wrestler (2008 - Darren Aronofsky)

Horror
A Serbian Film (2010 - Srdjan Spasojevic) - almost comedic its so horrific at times, but isn't that the point? silly movie, really
Human Centipede (2009 - Tom Six) see above comment
I Saw the Devil (2010 - Jee-Woon Kim)
Let the Right One In (2008 - Tomas Alfredson)

Romance
Adjustment Bureau (2011 - George Nolfi)
Hallam Foe (2007 - David Mackenzie)
How Do You Know (2010 - James L. Brooks)
Jack Goes Boating - (2010 - Philip Seymour Hoffman)
Life During Wartime - (2009 - Todd Solondz) follow-up to 1998's masterpiece Happiness
Mr. Nobody (2009 - Jaco Van Dormael)
Never Let Me Go (2010 - Mark Romanek)
Next Three Days (2010 - Paul Haggis)
Up in the Air (2009 - Jason Reitman)

Sci-Fi
Moon (2009 - Duncan Jones)
Source Code (2011 - Duncan Jones)
Star Trek (2009 - J.J. Abrams)
Tron: Legacy (2010 - Joseph Kosinski)

Thriller
Antichrist (2009 - Lars Von Trier)
Enter the Void (2009 - Gaspar Noe)
I Spit On Your Grave (2010 - Steven R Monroe) fails to capture essence and soul of original, but still good slasher/revenge
The Secrets in Their Eyes (2009 - Juan José Campanella)
Unknown (2011 - Jaume Collet-Serra)

Western
Sukiyaki Western Django (2007 - Takashi Miike)
The Good, The Bad, and The Weird (2008 - Jee-Woon Kim)
True Grit (2010 - Coen Bros) - not as good as original and not my favorite type of Western, but worth watch

sorry I didn't include Action/Adventure/Crime/Mystery types. you can find a lot of the Action movies in Drama and Mystery in Thriller.

Just finished watching Infernal Affairs again, which is amazing. Scorsese did a Hollywood remake (the Departed), but the Hong Kong original beats that hands down.
