i just don't see the market for "used" MP3s being something that is viable or sustainable. there is almost no such thing as "rare" MP3s, therefore that sort of market is not available as well.

that is why they are not the same. not saying the licensing and copyright isn't still there, but the demand is certainly not.

Why would someone buy used mp3 when they can get them for free illegally? The label/artist wont get any money so it's the same...

Bit pointless no? A new mp3 cost $1.49. Would you even be bothered going through the hassle of listing 100s of mp3s and then uploading/ emailing them to make say about 60c?

As long as the condition is Mint/Near Mint I don't see a problem.

"I've played that mp3 quite often, it's now 128kbps and it skips at 4:35min!"

haha!! ''sorry there is no sleeve with this track...''

but this was purely hypothetical and as for there being a market for it, well there defo isn't one.
I've just been ponderin over the fact that selling on old purchases, like I used to with my unwanted vinyl and cd's, is now a thing of the past since I turned to buying digital. At least you used to be able to get a bit of cash back....

I would say you can, legally, sell a mp3-file you've bought online given that you delete your own copy of the file after selling it. However, I would never refer to it as selling a "used mp3". ;)
