Any problems with m audio microtrack 2?

Does anyone on here own the m audio microtrack 2?

Have you had any problems with the device?

I having been seriously considering getting it.

i've had two of them...let's put it that way.


level's are always a fucker to deal with on that thing, and when recording wav, after 2hrs it stops, but it doesn't auto-start a new file, so if you don't think of it, you lose whatever you're doing after that point.

as a 320kbps recorder, it works ok, but sometimes the files are a bit unruly.

Damn it, anotehr person who's heard some bad reviews. I really liked the look of it and loved the way it had 1/4" connections. Looks like I'll end up going with the Tascam Dr07 which is a better package over all, but no AC adaptor, only issue I have with it is that it's a 1/8th Line in connector. Like most of these portibel devices, however, I hear that this has no effect on the quality of the sounds. You heard anything on this tascam?

That'd be cool to check out, however, I've kind of got it in my mind to go with something that's one of the pro or semi-pro names, especially Tascam or Roland. I've had Tascam equipment before and it seems to be vey reliable. Do you know what I mean?

Ok, cheers for the suggestion there, I'll take a look into tehm and weigh up all the devices I've been looking into.
