I have been looking at the following portibel recorders for myself:

M Audio Microtrack 2
Tascam DR07 Portable Recorder
Tascam DR08 Portable Digital Recorder
Roland R-05 Portable Recorder

I really think the M Audio would be the best purchase as it utilizes 1/4" jack Line in recording, which is PROFESSIONAL - HOWEVER it's Flash Card instead of SD Card which I have been told might not be around for much longer due to how much better SD cards are viewed.

However is this really a problem at £140 for the unit?

The other units I suggested have the usual mini jack line inputs.

Does anyone have any knowledge they can impart?

I could also use some help here.

i've previously been using a Creative Zen Plus - Which is a joke because it only records at 128K AND only has a mini jack Line In to record through.
