article is in german.. saying that the whole production of turntables was stopped by panasonics...

There were rumours about this 1 year ago too, but this time it seems to be true.
Anyway, the good thing is that a 1210 can last for 20 years or more, so I don't think there will be a shortcome any time soon.

didn't they say this a few months ago?

would wait for some kind of official announcement, which that article failed to quote...

i think it was close to last year christmas when that rumour was on several news sites..

i always thought the turntable production is profitable for panasonic.. i don't understand how you can retreat from a market which was ruled from your product for decades..

I had mine for 15 years and they keep on rolling like never before. They will keep on living for quite a while i guess.

These days, there are probably more sets of Technics out there than the number of DJs who use them.
