it's true there are some annoying quirks with submissions, particularly when it comes to capitalization and formats like 'promo' & 'test pressing'.
that said, once you understand these rules the basics can be submitted quickly, as previously mentioned.

it's not so much to add it, more that is often takes months before it is approved..

Discogs is for the most part used as a source for old vinyl, it only recently began allowing submissions for digital releases.

Most people who actually bother to submit are long standing members/record collectors, who like to keep their collection up to date.

it's for any music released on any format. CD's have always been on there.

for producers it's also like having an online CV that anyone can see.

i looked a bit into discogs now and i dont get why you need votes?

i submitted some releases and all are in the database without votes.. so how is this stopping you?
