tracklist?

Post by JNX »

tracklist?

really? it's getting pretty absurd. new set! tracklist?

before beatport, messageboards, and tracklists, what did you do for records? you searched for records by sound, not by titles.

just listen to the fking mix. omg, hey, here's an idea, BE SURPRISED!!! drop the pen and paper.

nice post Clees:

I kind of agree. Its more interesting to listen mix without tracklist. And later, if you're satisfied with what you've heard then start IDing.

I dont understand why the big fuss about tracklists.

IMO a tracklist is supporting and honouring the producers...

x2

I wouldn't do tracklists for my mixes but think if a track is good enough to use then you owe it to the producer to promote it.

I think JNX means it in the way that people use tracklists as the main way they discover music.

I can understand this but I've discovered so much music by listening to old sets & otherwise I would've never known what it was.

When listening to a set I prefer not to know what tracks are in it, so I lsten with open ears.

exactly. if we can make a nice mix to promote ourselves or to show your skills (which in many cases the goal is) then it's only fair to the producer who made the building blocks you used.

And if you want to listen to the mix without knowing what tracks will follow, a radical idea: don't read it.

This board really is full of people who think waaaay too much about just about anything :) Just enjoy the mix, and stop getting worked up about this or that or bliblablo.
