Wasn't techno originally conceived around futuristic ideals?

Underground resistance etc.

Maybe Minus are just trying to get back to this ideal?

I think they are just trying to do things a little different, so what if there's some marketing in there. Personally I'd be bored shitless listening to another dj mix by professionals when any one can do similar things in their bedrooms.

Clubbing should have got to this standard years ago...

Some of you guys take this sh!t too serious. Back in the day +8 had comic books and sh!t. Techno at it's very heart has always been a conceptual piece about the future. Ideas like this are where projects like Model 500, UR, Drexciya, Dopplereffekt etc... all come from. The only thing i hope for Rich is that the music matches the idea which is not always an easy thing to do. What you're seeing i'm guessing is the Detroit coming out of Richie Hawtin. I'll admit the photos are way over the top and they made me laugh too but you have to admit they did exactly what they were supposed to and got people talking. Doesn't anybody know how to have fun with it anymore? Jesus i mean some of these parties that i'v been to in the last couple of years seems like a giant group of Emo's masquerading like techno people. People need to lighten up then maybe more chicks will come to the parties. lol
