used to have ortofon bananas but as said - they eat your records.
Did they have a spherical or a diamond tip.. Makes a big difference!
good question... i have no idea ;)
i just had the choice between getting new needles for the ortofon or getting new systems including needles for about the same price. and then i decided to go for the at systems.

For future reference daimond tip is shape as the name says, like a daimond and "sits" in the groove. It gives the best sound because it makes maximum contact, but also causes maximum wear. Scratching and cutting becomes deadly for you vinyl so always go for the spherical ones.

ortofon digitrack .. only for DVS though ... first impression is that they thack just as other systems, but it's in rough club situations that they really shine ...

sound sh!t on regular vinyl, but i recommend them to dvs djs

i've been using shure whitelabels for the last year now and i absolutely love them. they did however, take some time to break in though. i always calibrate my needles/decks before i play and for the first few weeks i had increase the counterweight by at least 1 to 2 grams to prevent skipping on some of my more bass heavy records. as well as adding more anti-skate. did anyone else have a similar problem with these needles?

i also recommend these...Image
