Just a topic I am interested in, since I am living in Norway at the moment.

The prices you have to pay to rent in the area I live in are sick.

Talk about sick... I pay £125 (167 euro)/week for a double room in Bethnal Green, London.
London is really expensive but a very nice city to live in, in my opinion.

on one condo/property I have I pay $1200 US... 20 mins outside of detroit.

needless to say its a declining market...and I've lost equity for the past 3 years straight..

:) - fun / fun..

Flatmate & I pay $825.00 for a 3bdrm/ 1.5 bath house at the beach. Probably one of the best deals on the island. :wink:

where in norway do you live?

living in trondheim myself, about 3k NOK (~400€) for the 19m^2 room incl electricity and internet - sharing kitchen/2bathrooms with 3 of my classmates.
not too expensive, but kinda sux to that ~50% of the monthly income is gone when i've payed for the flat :S
